Jen is an acclaimed type 1 diabetes writer, speaker, podcast host and patient advocate. Diagnosed in 1996, she began documenting her experiences online in 2009, and quickly established herself as a trusted voice within the community.
Dedicated to serving the diabetes community by leveraging her greatest strength – a willingness to be vulnerable, Jen discerningly shares irreverent stories, honest experiences and a hopeful outlook around what it means to live a fulfilled life with type 1 in tow. Her aim is to help those who are wading through the physical and emotional burden of T1D to feel less alone. Her successful podcast Type 1 on 1 features compelling guests opening up about how living with the condition has shaped them.
She has spoken at international events, worked with numerous diabetes charities and acted as a consultant for leading pharmaceutical brands to create better outcomes for people living with this complex and often misunderstood chronic condition.
