I have 100% written about my diagnosis before, so I’m basically just shoving this down your throats because, multi-platform, innit?
This was more like therapy than a vlog. You’ll see.

If you were a ‘madam’ then I know everything is going to be fine. GG is a madam, a completely, wholeheartedly, feisty, rule-breaking madam. So she’ll be totally fine 🙂 I can so relate to the birthday cake story. It was my husband’s birthday 2 weeks after Maddie’s diagnosis, and he always has sticky toffee pudding. We invited friends over, and I made a pudding for 4 spread to 8 people, so as to make the portion smaller for her. They were so nice about it, but I could see it in their faces. Needless to say, this year we had the most gratuitously calorific pudding ever, and everyone had a big bowl of it. Might have paid for it in the night with corrections, but it was so worth it!
Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one! I didn’t break all the rules but I was definitely a very cheeky so and so. I’m glad my adult life doesn’t fill you with dread! Ahhh sticky toffee pudding, I can imagine that causes some bother but as you say sooooo worth it (I’m drooling into my keyboard…) but how are you supposed to know what to do in those early days!? It sounds like you were making the best of the situation (as opposed to cancelling the pudding altogether! HORRORS) At least we know now that cake is entirely appropriate on celebratory occasions. And Mondays. And weekends. Oh… xxx
