VIDEO: Managing my Blood Sugars in Lockdown

I found the only spot in my flat that has any natural light… hurrah! Which gave me an excuse to sit down at my lovely new desk (what do you mean buying yourself new furniture as you enter unemployment isn’t an act of self care?) and natter on in another YouTube video – this time about how my blood sugars are being affected in lockdown and how I’m handling it. ⁣
It’s fair to say that staying at home 23/7 has required a basal tweak or two (or 10) but more than that I wanted to chat through the things that I’m doing that aren’t insulin pump dependant to keep myself and my insulin sensitivity ticking. They’re possibly relevant even if you have a working pancreas… ⁣
Most importantly I’m making sure I’m not berating myself for any kind of day that I have, type 1 diabetes or otherwise, as the extra stress will only add to the blood sugar wobbles, and to say that’s a tricksy little hole to go down would be an understatement.
From one day to the next there are very different feels in this lockdown life, sometimes in the extreme, so I’m just rolling with whatever that day brings. I do hope that however you’re doing right now, you’re being kind to yourself in these weird, weird times.

    Hello Jen

A video of your insulin delivery thing you use would be good, I forgot what it’s called.

I need to stop the treats, my readings are to high, I’m stuck in a loop of stress. No job, stress, hit the snacks, cant sleep due to stress, hit the snacks etc etc #flopandrole
